I have participated in assessment moderation activities in order to support and make consistent and comparable judgements of student learning. I have had the opportunity to teach a Year 10 General Mathematics class for the period of one year. The more experienced staff teaching the same class, gave me several opportunities to examine their students work and how they were assessing their students. I also provided a staff member with a number of tests I had previously marked in order for them to compare my marks to their opinion. This moderation allowed us to gauge how each other was marking and to see if our marks were consistent whilst making comparable judgements of student learning.
