I have been able to select and use relevant teaching and learning strategies to develop knowledge, skills, problem solving and critical and creative thinking of the students I have taught. Through the use of my knowledge of teaching pedagogy I have been able to select certain teaching strategies based on the students I have been teaching as there isn’t one universal approach that suits all situations. Certain strategies and combinations are selected based on the age, learning styles and abilities of the students. Below is an example of a year 8, 10 lesson Drug Education program.
